Austin Organ Opus 2761 was dedicated on March 8, 1996.  Eight recitals between March and December of that year celebrated the new instrument.  The organists who participated were:

Members of the Hartford Chapter of the American Guild of Organists participating in
The World's Largest Organ Recital (April 14th)

Wilma Jensen, Organist and Choirmaster, St. George's Church, Nashville, Tennessee (May 10th)

Ben Schaffer, West Hartford, Connecticut (June 25th)

Marilyn Keiser, Associate Professor of Music, Indiana University (September 29th)

Ralph B. Valentine, Organist and Choirmaster, St. John's Church, West Hartford, Connecticut  (November 17th)

John Rose, Organist, Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut (December 1st)

The recital series was  funded through proceeds from the sale of the Austin organ, Opus 2237, formerly located in St. John's Chapel, which was converted to a church education center as part of the rebuilding.  St. John's remains grateful to members of the Austin family who permitted funds to be used for this purpose.

In addition to the dedicatory series, Austin Opus 2761 has been featured in a commercial recording by organist Frederick Hohman.
